John J. Ross has been a practitioner of Elder Law since 1992 and is one of the most experienced elder law attorneys in Monmouth County and the State of New Jersey. Over the course of a twenty-six year period, he has personally guided hundreds of families through legally, financially and emotionally difficult situations with clarity and compassion. Mr. Ross’ efforts have saved his individual clients tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Mr. Ross is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Elder and Disability Law Section and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He earned his law degree from the Fordham University School of Law and, as an undergraduate, Mr. Ross graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fordham University’s Honors Program and was elected into Phi Beta Kappa.
Sara K. Olszak is Of Counsel with the Law Office of John J. Ross, and concentrates her practice on guardianship and conservatorship matters. Sara assesses guardianship referrals and works with social workers and hospital staff to determine capacity issues and appropriate legal action. Sara handles guardianships and conservatorships for both facilities as well as private clients. Sara has extensive experience handling contested guardianships.
Sara has also been appointed by the Superior Court of New Jersey to represent individuals who have been alleged to be incapacitated, and to serve as Guardian, Temporary Guardian and Special Medical Guardian for incapacitated individuals. Additionally, Sara handles estate administration and litigation matters.
Sara received her undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond in 1999, and her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 2002. Immediately after graduating from law school, Sara served as Law Clerk for the Honorable Alexander D. Lehrer, J.S.C., Superior Court of New Jersey, Monmouth County. Prior to joining the Law Office of John J. Ross in 2014, Sara practiced at several firms in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
